refurbishment programmes
Our work with Warner Leisure Hotels over many years has involved yearly roll out programmes to refurbish bedrooms across all 14 sites in their estate. Over 2,500 bedrooms refurbished in carefully planned, tight rolling programmes in hotels with a full occupancy.
Key to the design strategy was to create a consistent brand identity to suit the guest profile, establishing standard requirements to give practical comfort and cost certainty while still reflecting the hotels location and heritage. A broad variety of hotels sit within the estate from listed country houses to coastal resorts.
Design Detail
While designing a selection of standardised interior schemes the intention is to maintain some individuality by tying the design to each hotels’ location. Hand-drawn, printed lampshades of each hotel; collections of artwork combining photography of the surroundings; historic maps and references to the buildings’ history ensure each scheme is tailored to the hotel. A casegood package was designed to give consistency but also flexibility within its components to suit a variety of room shapes and sizes. Three colourways create an element of choice and variety.
